Overview

Our unique immersive learning programmes in Girona

Language-based activities in the Mas Pagès residential centre will be led by our Spanish-native Monitores who communicate with your students in Spanish the entire time. Every question is encouraged to be asked in Spanish, whether it's during the activities or at meal times, every opportunity is exploited!

Our Monitores are fully-qualified to lead the physical on-site high ropes and zip lining activities, which are team-oriented so that students of different levels are comfortable making mistakes and don't feel out of their depth. The Monitores will also accompany your group on excursions in the area, they will challenge your students by creating fun activities for students to practise their Spanish, such as market missions in the local town to buy ingredients for the evening meal!

Deep in the heart of the luscious Spanish countryside and set against a backdrop of the Pyrenees Mountains, you’ll feel a million miles away from the English-speaking cities; however the city of Girona and the Catalan capital Barcelona are within striking distance to explore for the day!

To enhance and build upon what the students are learning, each student will receive their own workbook to complete during their trip. Though the Mas Pagès centre is located in the heart of Catalan country, all activities are conducted in standard Spanish.

Our centre has a fantastic range of facilities which we utilise to teach your students Spanish through fun activities, including a brilliant adventure park and even an 18-hole pitch and putt golf course!

Mas Pagès is accessible from the UK by coach, which makes it a more affordable option for schools. This is also the best Spanish option for schools who aren't able to participate in watersports activities.

Figueres Dalí Theatre-Museum

The lively town of Figueres is the birthplace of artist Salvador Dalí. The museum itself was designed by Dalí and as such is as mind-boggling as the artwork inside it! We recommend this as a great day trip for our groups.

Banyoles

Banyoles

Half an hour from Girona and Figueres, Banyoles is a quiet retreat from the fast pace of the city. With the largest lake in Catalonia, it is a nature lover's paradise and also home to a historic old town.

Empuries

Ruins of Empúries

We highly recommend visiting this incredible remnant of an ancient civilization set against the backdrop of the Costa Brava. The archaeological site holds over 2,5000 years of both Greek and Roman history with relics of streets, houses, mosaics and artwork of the era.

Barcelona city from above

Barcelona

No visit to Catalonia would be completed without experiencing its capital. The energy and culture of the city is unmatched and we can help you utilise your time trying to squeeze in as many attractions as possible or let you explore Barcelona at your group's own pace.

Camp Nou Barcelona FC

Camp Nou

At present, we can't guarantee that we can include a visit to Camp Nou in your itinerary due to extensive ongoing renovations. Speak to one of our travel experts for the latest information.

La Rambla Barcelona

Las Ramblas

Walk along the most iconic street in the city, lined with trees and stretching almost a mile. It is particularly popular wth tourists and has become more commercialised with kiosks, souvenir shops, street traders, cafes and street entertainers.

La Sagrada Familia interior

La Sagrada Familia

Take your students to marvel at Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece over 130 years in the making. The interior colourful stained glass windows are stunning and a must-see.

Picasso museum barcelona

Picasso Museum

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona has one of the world’s largest collections of Pablo Picasso’s art – a staggering 4,250 pieces. Although Picasso was born in Malagá, he considered Barcelona and Catalonia his true home and the Catalan culture heavily influenced his work.

I must praise the team at Mas Pagès for their professionalism and care they put in to make students feel comfortable and happy. The Monitores were wonderful with the students and full of energy and enthusiasm in every activity they led.
