Travel & Tourism Student Convention

Ever wondered what it takes to manage one of the world’s most visited tourist destinations? At our annual Travel & Tourism Student Convention, Disney speakers lift the curtain on the operations behind Disneyland® Paris and share insights your students can apply directly to their studies.

The convention provides curriculum-linked case studies on customer service, marketing and career pathways in the travel and tourism sector. Students will gain a valuable understanding of key industry trends, with the chance to ask questions and discuss topics with leading professionals.

After the convention, students head into the parks to see Disney’s unique customer experience in practice. Assignments encourage them to view the resort through a critical lens, analysing operations, marketing strategies and visitor management.

Meet last year's speakers

Included in the convention package is a 2-day hopper pass for both Disney® Parks so that students can collect the evidence required to complete their business assignments.

The learning doesn't stop when your trip is over! We've teamed up with Travel & Tourism tutor Craig Busby to offer an exclusive 10-week Marketing Module to teach your students back at college, which uses their experience at Disneyland® Paris to contextualise their studies.

Read the key takeaways from the last Travel & Tourism Student Convention and why you want to bring your students.

Here's what teachers think

Trips like Disneyland Paris...make learning come alive, reinforcing the topics being taught. Trips also create bonding and friendships across the travel classes. As teachers we see students' confidence grow with memories that last forever.

Feedback from students is amazing! Some words used - Memorable, awesome, unforgettable! Moving between the parks was great. Loved it. Grateful to have the opportunity.
John Garside, Lecturer in Aviation & Travel and Tourism at BMet College
Throughout the trip, we were able to develop key knowledge and understanding of the learning objectives, that can be embedded within assessments.
Benjamin Anderson, Travel & Tourism Teacher at Tameside College
The seminar provided students with direct industry insight that linked closely to their Travel & Tourism curriculum. Disney speakers highlighted real examples of customer service excellence, operational planning, and brand strategy, all themes students study at Level 3.
Zara Marrale, Lecturer in Travel & Tourism at Crawley College
For our first time running this trip, the experience exceeded expectations in terms of educational value, student engagement, and professional organisation. The convention and industry exposure offered excellent value and enriched our Travel and Tourism provision.
