GCSE Drama student workshops at Disneyland® Paris

Developed by drama teachers and professional performers and in collaboration with Disney, this five-day, four-night package is designed to give maximum support to students and teachers to assist with the transition from KS3 and KS4, kick-start their learning journey and inspire the next generation of performers, designers and theatrical practitioners.

Key speakers and practitioners will give your students an understanding of how to approach both the written examination and the practical elements in order to attain the highest marks and achieve their full potential.  Further insight will be offered by a Disney show director/producer, who will illustrate how the theoretical learning is put into practice in real-world performance contexts.

Your varied schedule includes these curriculum-led learning sessions:

• Practical devising workshop lead by a professional performer exploring approaches to responding to a stimulus and how to tackle the process of creating an original piece of theatre.
• Practical acting workshop lead by a professional performer focusing on the performance of an extract of text and the use of voice and physicality to build a character.
• Interactive exam questions presentation with a UK exam board examiner guiding students through the elements of the written exam with focus on the study of a set text and responding to live theatre.
• Tickets to a Live Disney Performance with follow up work in your study materials relating to the Response to Live Theatre Seen element of the written exam to consider performance, design and the use of the performance space.
• Curriculum-linked study material to accompany your workshops with a practice exam module based on live performance analysis and evaluation.
