Developed by drama teachers and professional performers, this four-day trip supports students’ progression from KS3 to KS4, kick-starts their exam preparation, and ignites a passion for performance, design and theatre-making.

Your students will gain expert guidance from industry practitioners on both the written and practical elements of drama, with workshops and study materials tailored to exam specifications. The curriculum-focused programme includes:

Practical devising workshop with a professional performer exploring approaches to responding to a stimulus and how to tackle the process of creating an original piece of theatre.
Practical acting workshop led by a professional performer focusing on the performance of an extract of text and the use of voice and physicality to build a character.
Interactive exam questions presentation guiding students through the elements of the written exam with focus on the study of a set text and responding to live theatre.
Guided tour of the Palais Garnier Theatre to explore on of the most historic and prestigious stages in France
Curriculum-linked study material to accompany your workshops with a practice exam module based on live performance analysis and evaluation.

26 - 29 January 2027

Day 1 - Arrival day

Board your coach for your trip to Paris
Ferry crossing
Arrive at Staycity Aparthotel accommodation near Paris where you will be greeted by our team members
Get settled and enjoy dinner

Day 2 - GCSE Drama Workshops

Presentation – GCSE Drama written exam: response to live theatre and set text study
Practical workshop – Devising: responding to and devising from a stimulus
Practical workshop – Performance of an extract: creating character and communicating meaning
Dinner at the accommodation

Day 3 - Paris City Sightseeing & Theatre Tour (or day at Disneyland Paris)
