The best time to visit Germany on a school trip is from October to March. You'll have greater choice of excursions and activities to add to your itinerary and you're much more likely to secure your first choices. We recommend planning your school trip to Cologne in autumn, when the Rhine and Moselle Valley is at its most magical—and you can enjoy the popular Phantasialand theme park with fewer crowds.
