When to visit the Cologne Christmas markets?

The Christmas markets in Cologne tend to open their gates in the last two weeks of November. There are several markets across the city and offer a variety of activities including carousels, ice-skating shopping and delicious food and drinks.

Itinerary

Day 1

Coach departs school early; ferry crossing; evening arrival in Cologne with organised activities.

Day 2

Full day in Cologne including a tour of the Cathedral, Chocolate Museum, Christmas markets and ice skating. Dinner at the hostel followed by bowling.

Day 3

Full day at Phantasialand theme park.

If theme parks aren’t your thing, consider a guided tour of the Bayer Leverkusen Football Stadium, visit the Michael Schumacher Private Collection and option to explore another of Cologne’s seven Christmas markets.

Day 4

Board your coach for the return journey via ferry, arriving back at school in the evening.
