Munich makes an ideal base for a German history school trip. This attractive Bavarian city blends traditional architecture and lively cultural attractions with easy access to significant WWII and Holocaust sites. Students can explore Munich’s beautiful old town, visit modern landmarks such as BMW World, and even witness the city’s unique river-surfing scene.

Beyond Munich, groups can visit Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site—an essential experience for learners aged 13+—and take a coach excursion to Nuremberg, the symbolic centre of Nazi power. Here, students can stand at the very locations where Nazi rallies were held, explore the Palace of Justice where the Nuremberg Trials took place, and deepen their understanding of the events that shaped the twentieth century.
