Accommodation

Due to the programme’s growing popularity, we now offer two accommodation options in the historic seaside town of Águilas. Both follow the same activity programme and are delivered by the trusted Arbolar team.

Bea Beach Hostel offers modern, air-conditioned ensuite rooms, along with spacious communal areas for indoor activities, socialising and free WiFi. It’s just a short walk from the sandy beach and marina, where students take part in beach games and supervised water sports. Groups also have access to the pool at the nearby Senator Águilas Hotel.

The Senator Águilas Hotel provides ensuite rooms with single beds, plus dedicated spaces for relaxing, language lessons and activities. Located on the seafront, it also offers free WiFi and both indoor and outdoor pools.

All groups, regardless of where they stay, take their meals at the hotel, where a generous buffet of Spanish and international dishes ensures there’s something for everyone.

With the hostel and hotel located just across from each other, even large groups can be accommodated comfortably across both sites.

What teachers say about the Arbolar Spanish residential

“The Monitores enable the children to try out their Spanish in a "secure" way. They get a real buzz from it! This is great for their confidence. They were also delighted that they could understand quite a lot of what was being said to them. This newfound confidence is always apparent when they return to Spanish lessons in school after the trip.”
Stella Gibson, MFL Teacher at St Peter's Catholic High School
It was clear that the monitores had the safety of the students at the heart of everything we did - it was so reassuring and again made the trip really relaxing for leaders and staff. ... Their enthusiasm and charisma really helped the students connect with them and made them feel confident to try and use the language.
Emily Allen, MFL Teacher at Whitworth Community High School
Monitores exceptional. Extremely friendly and helpful … Could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They spoke in Spanish to the children brilliantly
Craig Hamilton, MFL Teacher at Reigate School
This full immersive opportunity allowed for our students to practice their language skills in ‘real life’ and build confidence in their ability to communicate in Spanish. The activity leaders were brilliant and slowing down their communication rather than revert back into English, setting high expectations for our students.
Lauren Cunningham, MFL Teacher at Felixstowe School
