From the moment your group arrives, our native-speaking monitores will guide students through a packed itinerary, all in Spanish. The Albergue Las Indianas centre itself offers a wonderful environment for students, located in a restored typical Campurriana manor house dating back to 1878. All rooms are ensuite and facilities include common rooms, games room, football pitch, playgrounds and swimming pool.

The elegant capital of Cantabria, Santander offers students the opportunity to experience authentic everyday life in Northern Spain. With its historic centre, beautiful seafront and iconic Palacio de la Magdalena, the city provides an excellent setting for practising Spanish while exploring the region's rich maritime heritage and culture.
Santillana del Mar
One of Spain's best-preserved medieval towns, Santillana del Mar is renowned for its cobbled streets, historic architecture and traditional character. The town offers students a fascinating insight into Spanish history and culture and is the gateway to the world-famous Cave of Altamira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring prehistoric Paleolithic art.

The Altamira Museum is home to the Neocave, a full-scale replica of the original UNESCO World Heritage cave, allowing students to experience one of Europe's most important prehistoric sites. Interactive exhibitions explore the lives of early humans, providing valuable links to history, archaeology and cultural heritage.
Castillo de Argüeso
Overlooking the Campoo Valley, Castillo de Argüeso is a beautifully restored medieval fortress dating back to the 13th century. Students can explore the castle's towers, battlements and historic rooms while learning about medieval life and the history of Cantabria. The Castillo was declared a site of cultural interest in 1983.
Ebro river
A short walk leads to the source of the River Ebro, Spain's longest river. Set within the beautiful Cantabrian countryside, this excursion offers opportunities to learn about the region's geography, natural environment and the importance of the river to Spain's landscape and history.
Bilbao
Bilbao is a dynamic city where traditional Basque culture meets contemporary architecture. Students can explore the famous Guggenheim Museum, wander through the historic Casco Viejo and experience one of Northern Spain's most exciting cultural destinations while practising their Spanish in authentic everyday settings.

The Albergue Las Indianas residential centre is well equipped with fantastic onsite activities. Groups can spend more than a day enjoying the onsite supervised adventure and team-building activities which are all conducted in Spanish. Our highly trained monitores will supervise all onsite activities and ensure that students only hear and speak Spanish throughout their trip to create a fully immersive language experience.

Masterchef Pizza Challenge
Students work collaboratively in groups of 4–6 to design and create their own pizzas, selecting ingredients and toppings while considering flavour combinations. The kitchen team will then bake each group's creation for them to enjoy their handmade pizzas for dinner, celebrating their teamwork and creativity.
Climbing Wall
Taking place on the centre's purpose-built wall, this activity is supervised by monitores who have all received site-specific training, which covers all aspects of climbing including the use of safety equipment, personal protective equipment, set ups and techniques, plus rope work
Vocabulary learning session
Each day begins with an interactive language session led by native-speaking monitores. Students learn and practise key vocabulary and useful phrases that they will apply throughout the day's activities, helping to build confidence through immediate, real-world use.
Gymkana de Animación
A lively team competition featuring a variety of physical, agility and problem-solving challenges. Students collaborate, communicate and compete in Spanish while developing teamwork and building confidence through active participation.
Laberinto el Tilde
Just a short walk from the residential centre, one of Spain's largest mazes provides the setting for a unique language challenge. Students work together to navigate the maze, solve clues and use Spanish throughout the activity, with the option to combine it with a scenic sports trail.
Scavenger hunt
Students work in small groups to complete a series of language-based tasks and challenges around the centre. The scavenger hunt encourages observation, teamwork and spontaneous communication while reinforcing vocabulary in a fun and engaging way.
Salsa dancing
Led by the centre's native-speaking monitores, this energetic workshop introduces students to traditional Latin dance while exploring another aspect of Hispanic culture. It's a fun way to build confidence, practise listening skills and experience Spanish beyond the classroom.
Archery tag
A high-energy team activity combining the strategy of dodgeball with the skill of archery. Students use special bows and patented foam-tipped arrows to eliminate opposing players and knock out target spots, all while practising Spanish in an exciting and supportive environment.
