Each one of our French language immersion school trips is different, but each one is designed to maximise the opportunities for students to practise their language with trained French-native animateurs.

What makes these programmes distinct is the hand-picked instructors, called animateurs. They have considerable experience working with British school groups, leading all onsite activities, visits and mealtimes in French.

Our flagship French immersion and adventure programme based at Château de la Baudonnière uses French as the sole means of communication throughout the week which means that students have more exposure to speaking and listening to French than is possible in a whole term of formal French lessons back at school.

Our residential French language programmes to La Grand' Ferme in Lower Normandy, Chateau de Chantereine in Upper Normandy, or Moulin aux Draps on the Opal Coast use guided cultural visits to give children a chance to use their French in a real setting under the supervision of the centre's own trained animateurs who will accompany the group throughout.

Paris is a wonderful destination for French learners. Students on our French language school trips to Paris will be accompanied by an experienced French-native animateur who will conduct all mealtimes, excursions and evening entertainment in French to give your students the opportunity to experience the cosmopolitan city of Paris while still practising their French.

Is language immersion suitable for my group?

Yes. Our language programmes are suitable for all learners - from year 6 to sixth form. Every programme can be differentiated so that every student can take part and come away with improved French skills.

For maximum immersion, or to support GCSE and A Level studies, we recommend Château de la Baudonnière as more days are spent on time doing activities with the animateurs. For a more relaxed language experience, with a higher proportion of local visits, then opt for Château de Chantereine.
