Our new French language centre in upper Normandy

Take your students to our new residential centre, Château de Chatereine, and stay in an historic 17th century mansion, located in the pretty Normandy fishing village of Criel-sur-Mer on the stunning Alabaster Coast of upper Normandy.

Located less than two hours coach ride from Calais, Château de Chatereine is ideally placed to offer the perfect mix of French language, local culture and history on your school trip. What's more, the nearby Baie de Somme is one of France's most lovely and protected natural environments where students can learn about the area's rare flora and fauna, including the local seal population, birds and marine wildlife.

What makes this programme different than other French trips is that our animateurs will run all the activities, mealtimes and evening entertainment in French leading to improvements in your students' listening skills, vocabulary and pronunciation. On a French immersion trip to our centres, students will enjoy the experience of using a different language and see the benefits of learning French outside the classroom.

Our fourth residential French language immersion programme in Northern France offers a fun mix of local visits and excursions all guided, in French, by our French-native animateurs. Our experienced animateurs will accompany your group on local excursions designed to immerse your students in local French life, allowing them to practise their French and interact with native speakers in real situations.

Explore the cultural highlights and beautiful towns of the region, such as Rouen - steeped in history from William the Conqueror and Joan of Arc - or visit Albert and the surrounding World War 1 battlefields of the Somme - the area has plenty to offer

The region is also renowned for its local produce and students will have the chance to learn how local cheeses, cider and macarons are made (in French of course!) rewarded with a tasting session.
