Affordable Multi-Activity School Trips to France

Our Normandy Adventure school trip boasts a brilliant activity programme in France at an affordable price that rivals residential school activity centres in the UK. The six-day programme is based at our exclusive school camping village at Les Peupliers, amongst the sand dunes of Annoville beach in Normandy.

Get your fix of adventure with watersports activities such as paddleboarding and kayaking as well as on-land activities including climbing and high ropes. School groups will also experience a taste of French culture on our Normandy Adventure school trip through a handful of local excursions led by our native French staff.

Stay at Our Voyager Camping Village

Our groups stay at our own exclusive-use camping village at Les Peupliers, just a short walk from Annoville beach. It is ideally located for school groups in a quiet car-free area tucked away from tourists amongst white sandy shores and unspoiled grasslands.

Students stay in tents accommodating up to four people. We provide sleeping mats to make your stay more comfortable but students will need to bring sleeping bags. Teachers will feel right at home glamping in fully-furnished coco tents with beds, electricity and a kitchen area complete with a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities.

Students enjoy well balanced home-cooked meals and packed lunches prepared fresh by our staff team. Meals are served al fresco or in our dedicated all-weather marquee.

Activities and Learning

Our team of fully-qualified staff will lead your school group on your adventure trip, instructing all activities, as well as delivering a full programme of evening entertainment, keeping your students occupied for the duration of the day.

Gear up for a fun-filled activity programme on land and water. Our school trip to Normandy takes your students paddleboarding on the sea and canoeing on the river Sélune. Students will also partake in climbing, high ropes, team games on the beach on our doorstep and also our very own "It's a Knockout" assault course. A highlight of the activity programme is sand yachting. Hop into the unique land yachts and race across the sand, being propelled by the sea wind!

We believe in immersing school groups in the local culture of the country they are visiting and native French staff-led excursions to Mont Saint-Michel, the local market and guided town walk on this activity school trip to France support this.

Family Adventure 2016 389

Bay walk to Mont st Michel

Rated one of the most beautiful place in Normandy. Built in the 11th century, the Abbey is a feat of medieval architecture with outstanding and panoramic views over the bay – and its rooms are as impressive as its exterior. As a centre of Christian pilgrimage, the Abbey has been kept in good condition throughout its life. The nearby Maison de la Baie explains the history of Le Mont St Michel with an audiovisual tour.

The adventurous can approach by crossing on the tidal causeway, but wearing shorts is recommended! One of our expert French native guides will be keeping you on course, whilst noting the local flora and fauna, pointing out some of the many points of interest, and explaining about the famous salted sheep.

goats2

Goats Cheese Farm

'La Chèvre rit' is an educational farm situated in Granville. Here your students will have the opportunity to pet the animals (goats, donkeys and many more) and learn how goats cheese is made! Students are invited to observe all the processes involved in the production of this unique product. Ends with a lovely tasting session! http://www.la-chevre-rit.fr/

mussel farm

Oyster and Mussel Farm

Normandy is one of the leading oyster and mussel production regions in France. Your students will be taken on a guided tour of an oyster and mussels farm to see how the Mussels and Oysters are farmed - they'll also be given the opportunity to sample them too!

french market

French Market trip

French markets are a staple of French culture and are always lively colourful affairs, selling local produce, French ‘fashion’ and accessories, live animals and plenty of seasonal fruit and veg. The vendors are usually friendly; so there is no better place for your students to practise your French and pick up souvenirs.

Archery

After the obligatory safety talk, students will learn how to shoot arrows in our safe archery arena. Our qualified staff will teach your students how to perfect their target skills and become little robin hoods.

Family Adventure 2016 0358

Abseiling

On our own purpose built climbing wall, students take it in turns to climb whilst those not climbing will encourage and coach alongside our qualified instructors. The easy part of abseiling comes after you have reached the top of the tower! All ages enjoy this session and after you’ll feel a great sense of achievement. Harnesses, helmets and other necessary safety equipment are all supplied.

Day 5 009

Bread making

Everyone loves making things they can enjoy and eat later, and even more so on our school trip because we combine bread baking with singing French songs! Students love getting covered in flour, kneading their dough and enjoying their tasty treats later with their evening meal.

Orienteering

Orienteering

Students will be taught map reading skills using orienteering games and courses around the site grounds. Orienteering is an excellent motivational and recreational activity, which increases love of the outdoors and promotes environmental awareness.

Family Adventure 2016 0353

Climbing

As with the abseiling, students climb on own purpose built climbing wall. Our trained and qualified staff encourage students to get involved and run competitions and help all to get their personal best.

Canoeing

Canoeing

Canoeing gives students the opportunity to learn various new skills in a safe, but fun environment. To partake students should be confident in water, but by no means an excellent swimmer. Safety equipment is used at all times.

Day 1 Games Mini Farm 21

Team Games

The staff run various fun and exciting team games. Everyone loves these and they always provide camaraderie among the students. Great for building social and teamwork skills.

Sand yachting activity school trip

Sand Yachting

This activity is great fun and unique experience students likely wouldn't have done before. Sail across the sand with only the wind to power you!

Pêche à pied

Pêche à pied (or "fishing on foot") is an activity that takes place in the bay and is similar to rock pooling, but uniquely French. Did you know: Pêche à pied is practiced by around 2 million French people each year?

"We had the most fantastic trip last July with your company. Everything went so well and the centre and staff in Paris were absolutely great. We cannot wait to renew the experience next July! Please send Jaures and Juju our very sincere thanks. They are both first-class animateurs/organisers - always sorting out any little hiccups straight away." Party leader, Howell's School.
