Amsterdam Science school trip

Meet science students, attend lectures and classes and visit the Amsterdam Science Park, exclusively on a Science trip to Amsterdam with Voyager School Travel.

Visit the Amsterdam Science Park and meet with local science students

When you think of the Netherlands or Amsterdam, pioneering scientific endeavour isn't usually the first topic to spring to mind. However, since the Dutch East India Company was founded in 1602, the country has been at the forefront of technological and entrepreneurial innovation - the Dutch East India Company was the first-ever multinational corporation, financed by shares that established the first modern stock exchange.

The modern city of Amsterdam continues to embrace this legacy with a strong emphasis on science among the commercial giants such as Phillips and ING who are headquartered here, in addition to the academic institutions solely focused on scientific research and innovation.

Voyager School Travel are delighted to be able to offer an exclusive opportunity for UK schools to visit Amsterdam University College on a science trip to Amsterdam. We have partnered with the College in order to offer visiting groups a real taste and understanding of what life is like for science students in the heart of the capital.

AUC offers a full-time, selective three-year honours programme in liberal arts and sciences at the Bachelor level, taught in English, with a strong offering in the sciences and enrolling up to 50% science majors.

The day at the college may include:

Tour of the campus, student dorms, and Amsterdam Science Park

Meeting with the student run 'Curiosity Committee' (Science focus, see https://myauc.nl/aucsa/committees/curiosity/) and Jeugdlab (Science discovery with local schools, see https://myauc.nl/aucsa/committees/jeugdlab/)

"We had the most fantastic trip last July with your company. Everything went so well and the centre and staff in Paris were absolutely great. We cannot wait to renew the experience next July! Please send Jaures and Juju our very sincere thanks. They are both first-class animateurs/organisers - always sorting out any little hiccups straight away." Party leader, Howell's School.
