Amsterdam is recognised as one of Europe's most exciting capital cities, but what's more, it has a fantastic selection of educational and cultural attractions to support your classroom studies - whatever the subject. For art students, the Van Gogh museum is unmissable and the Rijksmuseum is home to an array of works from masters among the likes of Rembrandt and Vermeer which are sure to intrigue and inspire. The Anne Frank House is the most popular historical attraction for our schools visiting Amsterdam and your students are sure to return to school with a greater understanding of the societal and human impacts of WWII and the Holocaust.
Of course, you couldn't visit Amsterdam without experiencing the city's beautiful network of canals and so we arrange canal cruises for all of our groups where students will not only get to take in the sights from the water but learn about the history of the city and the story behind some important buildings. We also arrange for our groups to venture further than the capital and get a real taste of authentic Dutch culture at attractions like a cheese farm & clog factory! Does it get any more Dutch than that?
Amsterdam's network of canals is without a doubt its most famous feature, so hop aboard a boat and see the city from the water. You will learn about Amsterdam's history, including how it was built and the story behind some important buildings.
As well as chronicling Anne Frank’s life and diary entries, the museum takes a wider look at the human impact of WWII and the Holocaust.
Your students will learn how to make the world-famous Dutch stroopwafels in this fun workshop. Learn how classic stroopwafel is made before having a go at crafting and decorating two delicious stroopwafels for yourself.
The Madurodam is a miniature city made up of 1:25 scale replicas of famous Dutch landmarks. Walk around the park and tower above a miniature civilisation!
