Voyager Awarded LOtC Quality Badge for Another Year!

What is the LOtC Quality Badge?

The LOtC Quality Badge is awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom to organisations that can clearly demonstrate they provide high-quality educational experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety. For schools, this means one simple assurance that a trip booked with Voyager meets all the necessary learning and risk management criteria.

How we achieved the badge

To hold the LOtC Quality Badge, our Safety Management System is reviewed by independent, external auditors who carefully assess whether our processes meet their standards. This involves a rigorous review of how we organise, manage, and deliver trips, ensuring that every element of our tours, from transport and accommodation providers to activities and excursions, is safe, well-organised, and enriching for students.

The Quality Badge demonstrates that our quality and safety systems have been externally audited, so that the school doesn't have to carry out additional checks. This has been confirmed by the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP) whose national guidance states:

"When the provider holds the LOtC Quality Badge, there is normally no need to seek further assurances from the provider about the safety of provision."
