Our new coaches are more comfortable and more environmentally friendly

There was much excitement at Voyager HQ this week, with the team oohing and aahing over pictures of a new addition to the Voyager family.

But it wasn’t a new baby (though we are excited about the imminent arrival of Sophie’s baby ) nor was it a new office dog (two is quite enough for us). No, the team were animated by pictures of our two new coaches!

You may not know that we have our own coach company, but if you’ve visited one of our language centres or been on a Voyager School Travel ski or adventure trip, you’ve mostly likely travelled on one of our Pegasus coaches.  Which is why we’re so excited by two new 57 seater fully executive coaches to the fleet.

Reducing our carbon footprint

Upgrading two of our coaches is part of our ongoing work to reduce the carbon output of our trips and centre operations (more on this soon) and the new Euro 6 compliant engines are more efficient and have ultra low emissions which means that they are considerably more environmentally friendly than the coaches they replaced. Not only that, but according to Mike Lee, the MD of Pegaus Coaches, the new ZF 6 AP 2300 eco-life automatic gearbox gives a smoother ride, making those overnight journeys to Germany and the Alps a little more comfortable for our students and teachers too.
