Language World 2019 recap and your invite to visit our Château

27 Mar 2019, 15:06

Last week, Voyager School Travel exhibited at Association for Language Learning's Language World conference. Fiona, Kate, Juju and James had a great time picking teachers' brains (and demonstrating our foldaway reusable bags!). The team really enjoyed meeting so many inspirational and passionate MFL professionals over the weekend.

We were particularly excited to be challenging MFL teachers to escape our French language escape room. A special well done to the 50 or so teachers who tried it out! We hope you enjoyed the activity and experienced, for yourself, how we use language immersion to engage students in the subject. We are working very closely with the Association for Language Learning at attending their regional events like Language World, around the country in the future.

Despite the pressures on MFL teaching and trends towards learning languages at GCSE, it was invigorating to be amongst educators with such a determination to share their love of language with their students. Now, more than ever, it is vital that the next generation is engaged in different language and cultures.

Hop over to our Château this Easter

We were so inspired by the level of demand for the escape room and interest in how we use language immersion to engage students that we are hosting a subsidised visit for a limited number of MFL teachers and their families to our flagship French language immersion residential centre, Chateau de la Baudonniere, this Easter.
