Action-packed school trips to Germany instructed by native German speakers

On this curriculum-linked school trip, everything at the centre is led by one of the Betreuers—a team of native speakers who deliver the learning & instruct the activities—entirely in German. This no-English approach gets students thinking & responding in German. Through methods like repetition, gesticulating and drawing, the Betreuers will help unlock students' understanding of the language.

A highlight of the trip is a day of activities conducted on-site at the hostel's purpose-built all-weather outdoor activity course. High ropes, climbing wall, slackline, big swing... they've got it all!  As they conquer the course in small groups, students will take on vocabulary relating to direction, movement and body parts and use everything they've learned in context. It's an action-packed day that's certain to see fears conquered and friendships strengthened.

Experience old-world German charm & culture

On a day trip to the picturesque medieval town of Monschau, near the borders of Belgium and the Netherlands, learners will be immersed in old-world charm and get a feel for Germany's rich history and culture. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses, visit historic landmarks such as the Red House Museum, and enjoy panoramic views of the enveloping Eifel National Park and Rur River from the impressive Monschau Castle.

Gear up for a linguistic German adventure

It might be easy to forget there's some serious language learning happening amongst all this fun... On top of the practical instruction from the Betreuers, each student will receive one of our bespoke language workbooks with exercises designed to complement the activities on your itinerary.

The Betreuer will lead structured sessions where students will complete the exercises and write about their day in German to use and reinforce the vocabulary they've learned.
