School groups can save time at Dover Port with this process

Great news for teachers planning school trips to France! All Voyager school groups can benefit from a new fast-track border process at the Port of Dover, designed to streamline document checks.

Benefits include:

• Significantly quicker processing times at Dover (as fast as 2.5 minutes per coach).
• Visa-free travel for non-UK students in your group – bypassing the usual EU visa requirement for school groups.
• Less hassle as we'll manage the process for you

How can schools benefit from fast-track document checks at Dover?

Voyager School Travel piloted this government-backed scheme with great success, with border checks for our school groups taking just 2.5 minutes per coach during the trial. We're now rolling out this service to all Voyager groups travelling with P&O Ferries via Dover.

What's more, we'll complete all the necessary forms and submit your group’s details for you, so the French authorities can approve your passengers before you even get to port. Meaning one less thing to worry about!

An additional benefit is that children who are visa nationals in the UK will be eligible for visa-free travel when taking part in a school trip to France. Visa nationals are non-UK nationals residing in the UK on a visa who would usually require a visa to enter the EU.
