2026 is a landmark year for these iconic parks near Paris, with major new expansions already open and more launching soon. We were lucky enough to attend the grand opening of the brand-new Disney Adventure World and the stunning World of Frozen this Easter—and the scale, creativity and educational potential are genuinely impressive.
Step into the new World of Frozen
The jewel in the crown of the park's new expansion is the immersive Kingdom of Arendelle. Students can explore beautifully detailed Nordic-inspired surroundings, meet familiar characters and experience storytelling brought to life.
For performing arts students, the marching band parade and daytime show, A Celebration in Arendelle, showcase world-class choreography and production. Meanwhile, bilingual shows (in both French and English) offer a fun, low-pressure way for language students to practice comprehension skills in a real-world setting.
An evening spectacular like no other
The brand-new Disney Cascade of Lights is a standout addition to the experiences across the parks. Combining ground-breaking water, fireworks, lighting and drone technology, this 360° spectacle takes place over the vast new lake and has been seven years in the making.
With cutting-edge effects and a team of 24 technicians running it each night, it’s not just entertainment—it’s a fascinating example of precision engineering, creative design and technical collaboration in action.
A Reimagined Disney Adventure World
As part of a €2 billion investment, the former Walt Disney Studios Park has been transformed into a multi-world experience featuring Marvel, Pixar, and Frozen, with a Lion King area on the way.
Importantly for school groups, this new area offers more balanced, accessible attractions—including gentler rides - inspired by Tangled and Up, themed exploration areas and new experiences. A Disney Princess Cavalcade is also set to debut this summer.
World-class live performances
The park’s Broadway-style shows remain a major draw. From Minnie’s Dream Factory to The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure, these productions highlight excellence in costume design, storytelling and stagecraft.
They’re all included in the park ticket—making them an easy, high-impact addition to your itinerary.
More thank just a theme park
Beyond the rides and attractions, a day at Disneyland Paris offers something harder to quantify but equally important: shared experiences. It’s an opportunity for students to bond, build relationships and create lasting memories—something that can enhance the overall impact of any school trip.
