A tour of Vietnam & Cambodia will leave you overwhelmed with the story it has to tell from the Vietnam War to the present day. Starting off in Ho Chi Minh city will counteract any jet lag you may have, the two million scooters & mopeds will certainly keep you alert when crossing the road! You will wonder how the Vietnamese fit a family of 6 on a moped and how a farmer can balance a cage of chickens on the back. Once you have got your head around the fact the traffic doesn’t stop you will visit the mind-blowing markets where you can try some street food (Only if you have a strong stomach!), there will be so many souvenirs you will want to take back, but realise you won’t have enough room in your suitcase!
In terms of the Vietnam war, the War Museum will tell you everything you need to know and the visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels will put it all in perspective. When you explore the Mekong River there's so much to see including the many conical-hatted farmers tending their land. Your first experience of Cambodia will be unforgettable as you are taken to a candidate for the 8th wonder of the world, Angkor Wat, Cambodia, a site you will never forget.
A visit to Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh will leave you emotional and you will get a real feel for how the war affected the city. Overall your experience will be tear-jerking, eye- opening and fascinating, a school tour you will talk about for many years after.
