Day 1 - Depart UK – Arrive in Casablanca, Morocco – Grand Mosque

Depart the UK and arrive into Casablanca where you will be met by your rep to take you to your accommodation for check in. Take in the sights of Morocco’s economic and cultural capital, with striking colonial architecture, cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants, fused with authentic markets and exotic medinas. Visit the Grand Mosque, the second largest mosque in the world and said to be one of the most beautiful. Commissioned for King Hassan II and completed in 1993, the building stands defiantly in the great square, with the tower rising up on the shore of the Atlantic lending itself to glorious views across the ocean. First meal is dinner at the accommodation.

Day 2 - Casablanca – Rabat, Hassan Tower – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Breakfast, then venture along the coast to the Moroccan capital Rabat. This city is lesser-known on the tourist trail so it still retains an authentic feel with a rich history and prominent monuments. Take a trip out to the UNESCO World Heritage site Hassan Tower – a prime example of an uncompleted mosque intended to be the second largest mosque in the wold. Work started in 1195 AD instructed by the Almohad ruler Yaqub al-Mansur, but all work came to a sudden halt when he died in 1199, and then fell victim to an enormous earthquake in 1755 which damaged the structure. Despite this, the historical tower is hauntingly beautiful and thus attracts thousands of visitors a year. Travel on to UNESCO World Heritage Site Volubilis, an ancient historical Roman settlement thought to date back to the 3rd Century AD. These impressively well-preserved ruins are proof that the Romans once occupied Morocco and definitely worth the visit! Transfer to Fes, stopping enroute in the city of Meknes for lunch – a small and quieter neighbour of Fes, but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up in charm and enchanting narrow medinas. Onward to Fes - dinner at your accommodation.

Day 3 - Full day exploring Fes

Breakfast, and then meet your guide for a full day tour around the high walled Imperial City of Fes. Known as the ‘spiritual heart of Morocco’, Fes is bursting with beautiful mosques, fountains & Palaces all located in a labyrinth of narrow passages. Stop at the alluring Kairaouine Mosque – the 2nd largest Mosque in Morocco and also home to the World’s oldest University. Visit Fondouk el-Nejjarine, the Museum of wooden arts and crafts; and weave your way through streets via spicy souks and the infamous pungent leather tanneries, out to the golden gates of the King’s Palace. Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 4 - Depart Fes and drive to Marrakech, city orientation on arrival

Breakfast, then an early transfer departing Fes to Marrakech. Check in to accommodation, and then enjoy a guided orientation of the city and the maze of alleyways. Visit to Majorelle Gardens – a refreshing oasis of green botanical space hidden within the city chaos. Explore the winding narrow medinas and the bustling market souks. Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 5 - Marrakech – Souks – Koutoubia Mosque – Square Djemaa el Fna

Breakfast, then head out to the City to soak up the atmosphere of this bewitching exotic city and take a stroll through Djemaa el Fna Square, passing an explosion of scents & food smells, colourful stalls, snake charmers and street entertainers. Gaze up at the Koutoubia Mosque, a towering majestic landmark dominating the square. Dinner at your accommodation.
