School trips to Morocco

Moroccan spice

A tour of Morocco guarantees your students an exotic and educational touring experience that they will never forget. Whether they are meandering through the historic souks of Marrakech, examining the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains or hiking the vast dunes of the Sahara Desert; all the ingredients of an extraordinary educational school tour await

Geography hotspot

In terms of culture, atmosphere and historic sites, Morocco has the lot to offer, but it is the unique landscape that will undoubtedly impress your geography students. The Atlas Mountains is the highest mountain range in Northern Africa and Toubkal is the jewel in the crown. Our Moroccan adventure takes in breathtaking natural wonders such as the Todra Gorge and the Valley of the Roses. You’ll also see the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancient fortified city of Ait Benhaddou, that has served as the backdrop for countless Hollywood blockbuster movies, such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

Sahara nightlife

It’s not often that Voyager guarantees a bumpy ride but the full day of camel trekking into the Sahara Desert can feel a bit shaky – especially when you mount and dismount! However, this is one of those adventurous experiences not to be missed, especially when it’s topped off with two nights of camping out under the stars in a traditional Bedouin bivouac. You’ll be well looked after by the local Berber people who will prepare delicious food, and dance, sing and play traditional music around a roaring campfire accompanied by many drums beating!

Select your itinerary

Voyager Worldwide want this to be your school tour of a lifetime. We have a wide selection of itineraries from which to chose, but you can always call us to discuss your bespoke programme. What better way to enhance your GCSE geography student’s understanding and skills than a field trip to the mountain village of Imlil in the Atlas Mountains? Do you have your own ideas about a community project in the area that is important to your school? We can work with you to make these things happen because we know that real experiences make a real difference to learning!

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” Marcel Proust
“One who does not travel will not know the value of men.” Moroccan proverb
“I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Suddenly you are five years old again. You can't read anything, you have only the most rudimentary sense of how things work, you can't even reliably cross a street without endangering your life. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses.” Bill Bryson
