Wagrain sits at the heart of its ski area midway between Flachau and Alpendorf in Austria. Covered in fresh snow, the traditional village of Wagrain is the epitome of what a ski resort should look like. It connects to the Wagrain and Alpendorf sectors by two major lifts leaving from the edges of the village. Transfers are easy; coaches are on the motorway until a few miles before the resort, while the average airport transfer time from Salzburg is little more than an hour.
Our school groups stay at the super-equipped Markushof youth hostel in Wagrain and each trip includes free access to the Waterworld leisure park where students can enjoy indoor and outdoor heated pools, saunas and much more besides for the whole week.
Wagrain is well located right in the middle of three large ski resorts which make up the Snow Space Salzburg ski area - 120 perfect kilometres of pistes linked by 45 modern lifts and cable cars giving access to Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann im Pongau.
One of Austria’s most popular ski resorts, Wagrain offers your group wide and varied slopes with a concentration of intermediate runs which provide plenty of progression. The resort receives a lot of natural snow and has modern snow cannons on all slopes which means the valley runs are practically always open.
