Hit the slopes of Andorra on a ski trip to Vallnord

Vallnord lies in the southern part of Andorra and mixes smart hotels with quaint water fountains where the locals still collect their drinking water which is deemed to be the purest in Andorra. Voyager’s school accommodation is in the heart of Arinsal, the largest of the three Vallnord towns, and offers fast and simple access to the slopes, as well as a very warm welcome. Following heavy investment in the early 2000’s, the town facilities and infrastructure has been upgraded to a high standard giving the resort an architectural feel on par with Verbier and Meribel.

The skiing in Vallnord consists of three areas consisting of Arinsal and Pal, which offer 63km of linked runs on your doorstep, and Arcalis, which is reached by coach, and takes the runs to a total of 93km, many of which cut through pretty woodland. The whole area is similar in size to Tonale and Montgenevre. Ranging from 1,550m to 2,560m in height, the resort is snow-sure, supplemented by plenty of snow cannons, with a mixture of runs to suit all abilities.

The skiing in Vallnord perfectly caters for the mixed abilities of school groups. Whilst ideal for beginners and intermediates, there is still plenty to keep advanced skiers interested, before even mentioning the healthy number of snow parks, board cross and jumps.
