A world famous and iconic Austrian resort with varied skiing and snowsure late into the season
The medieval town of Kitzbühel is the archetypal Austrian ski resort, featuring a beautiful, charming alpine town, diverse terrain spread over several mountains and of course, the pistes which host the world-famous downhill ski race – the Hahnenkamm.
With its historic centre, traffic-free cobbled streets, fashionable shops and restaurants, it’s no wonder that Kitzbühel has reached inconic status, but there are still plenty of options and amenities for school groups. By staying outside of the main town, at the cosy Gasthof Hechenmoos, school groups travelling by coach can enjoy this archetypal Austrian resort without breaking the bank.
In terms of skiing, Kitzbühel has something for everyone, spread across 165km of pistes, in the vast Wilder Kaiser Brixental SkiWelt area. The area boasts both gentle runs and more challenging slopes, with plenty of cleverly designed pistes to produce an area which is perfect for the mixed abilities of your average school group. The lift system has recently been modernised which means that your group can access the slopes more quickly and with less queuing.
Why take your school ski group to Kitzbühel?
After a hard day on the slopes, what better way to relieve aching muscles than a relaxing swim at the local pool?
