Medieval Prague is enchanting, but Czech Republic has plenty more to see

Much of this small but intriguing country is blessed with spectacular scenery, the medieval and atmospheric Prague will most likely top and tail your school trip, but once you are away from the capital, visits to the spa towns of the Sudetenland and the 'Rhapsody' of Bohemia with impress and captivate in equal measure.

Arriving in Prague, your school group will be immediately struck by the contrasts of old with new. The first Czech dynasty was founded in 840, (this included Prince Václav, the 'Good King Wenceslas of Christmas carol fame), and the legacy of 1300 years of history is around every corner.

This is juxtaposed by the very modern feel to other parts of the city...since 1989 and the fall of the 'Iron Curtain' a huge amount of investment and tourism had regenerated the city beyond compare.

"Thanks for all your help with the organisation and all those slight glitches which always crop up along the way. The trip was a great success and the students and staff had a brilliant time. The weather soon bucked up and we were happy with the hotels. We'll definitely be going again in 2018."

Excursions you may want consider include a visit to Karlovy Vary, a very pretty Spa town in Bohemia famed for it's world renowned annual Film festival, or Český Krumlov whose castle is a UNESCO world heritage site and is a fine example of a fairy tale, renaissance fortress.

Elsewhere in Bohemia why not visit Plzeň, a more industrial city but of interest nevertheless, it's home to Pilsner Urquell, the producers of the first ever lager beer.

A little further afield, you'll find Olomouc, the historic capital of Moravia and home to numerous stunning palaces and churches reflecting the city's ecclesiastical wealth of the middle ages. Today it homes 25,000 students so is an excellent destination if your student party is of college age.
