Iceland

A Voyager school trip to Iceland is guaranteed to be something quite spectacular. Known as ‘The land of fire and ice’, Iceland lies on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge where the European and North American tectonic plates meet, making it a geographical and geological wonderland students and teachers alike will be eager to explore.

Few places on the planet demonstrate so apparently how our world is formed through geological processes. Where else could you visit glaciers, volcanoes and waterfalls in the same trip? A typical itinerary will see students beginning their adventure in Reykjavik before an awe-inspiring Golden Circle tour exploring Iceland’s national parks to be educated in geothermal power and energy. There’s far too much wonderment to list, you can find a detailed sample tour here.

One of our past party leaders had this to say about the benefits of the trip for their students:

“Back in the classroom doing the lesson on tectonics, it was wonderful to hear the students talking fondly of their trip to Iceland and talk confidently about their understanding of plate tectonics and to keep hearing “we saw this in Iceland”. I now have some students using Iceland within their own case studies.”

Paris

A fully immersive French language crash course, Paris Parle is the perfect trip to advance MFL studies for students. Where better to use and improve your French knowledge than the city world-renowned for its landmarks, culture and cuisine?

Pivotal to our Paris Parle programme is our team of ‘Animateurs’. Specially trained, our Animateurs are native speakers who accompany your students every step of the way on their trip. Their enthusiasm and dedication are second to none in effectiveness for keeping students speaking French at all times, encouraging interactive responses during activities and downtime.

Students learn whilst having fun - it’s a formula that works! Hear what past party leaders have had to say.

Normandy

Furthering the studies of your school History curriculum, a school trip to the Normandy Landing Beaches gives your students a far greater insight and understanding into the monumental events of D-Day, 1945. Students will see for themselves places which played a pivotal role in the course of World War II, including Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah landing beaches.

As with the Paris Parle programme, our team of Animateurs lead your Normandy School Tour, thus combining both historical and linguistic studies. Each excursion to attractions including Pegasus Bridge and Battle of Normandy Museum is seen as an exciting opportunity to speak and understand the French language in situ.

Arbolar

The Voyager exclusive Aroblar Centre based in Murcia delivers a unique residential Spanish language immersion experience. A typical itinerary includes fun activities such as cooking on the beach, where students will learn how to cook local Spanish dishes, visits to the mud baths and local lead and silver mines. Students will also take to the sea sailing and kayaking using the centre’s own equipment and fleet of boats!

Structured visits to the local village will follow, these are great learning experiences where students interact with the friendly locals to develop their conversational Spanish skills. Also on the list of attractions -Terra Mitica theme park!

A proven success, it’s a fantastic way to combine an exciting school activity-heavy trip to Spain with immersive learning.

Austria

A picturesque Alpine village is what most will picture when thinking of the idyllic skiing destination. And Austria is just that.

Tree-lined slopes, breathtaking scenery and fantastic apres ski - With a carefully handpicked selection of resorts by the Voyager travel experts, it’s all on offer here at prices that are affordable for any school.

School Ski Trips run the risk of being overlooked by some in favour of more curriculum-heavy trips, however, School Ski Trips create an environment that promotes the learning of valuable life lessons and skills such as the promotion of being active and having a healthy lifestyle.

Students will often conquer fears on the slopes, teaching them in realtime the value of pushing themselves out of their comfort zone. Celebrating these victories with other students is invaluable in boosting their confidence and creating a positive ‘can do’ attitude to any hurdles they face in education. There’s also the benefit of being around non-english speakers and being immersed in an unfamiliar culture.
