French Alps school tour

Our French Alps trip is often the most popular tour in school, given the outstanding natural beauty, exhilarating range of adventurous activities and superb choice of curriculum led excursions.

Our Mountain Adventure tour, based in the Haute Savoie region, is one of the most demanding and rewarding of all our Adventure activity programmes. Our alpine tours are based in the pretty village of Megeve, easily accessible by autoroute from Calais. Enjoying dramatic scenery, this delightful mountain village has superb sports and leisure facilities.

It is completely up to you how adventurous you would like your activity programme to be, but it could include white water rafting, high ropes, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, mountain biking and guided mountain walking. For a small supplement we can include the thrill of exploring this alpine environment on a via ferrata. All delivered by fully qualified instructors.

The Haute Savoie region also offers a wonderful selection of curriculum led excursions and is particularly suitable for Geography, History and Language students. Please see overleaf for more details.

Gorges du Pont du Diable

The Devil’s Bridge Gorge cuts through the hard marble linking the Chablais massifs and the Lac Leman, a visual demonstration of the effects of erosion.

Bossons Glacier

The longest ice fall in Europe.

Bex Salt Mines

Learn how the mines were contructed and salt was mined by taking a train deep into the mine itself. This visit can be combined with the Labyrinthe Adventure.

Grotte et Cascade de Seythenex

A 45 metre waterfall and the only cave open to the public in the Haute Savoie.

Chamonix, Mer de Glace, Mont Blanc

Take the Aiguille du Midi, the highest cable car in the world, with views as far as the Matterhorn. Take the mountain railway to the ice caves carved in the glacier.

Annecy

The beautiful capital of the Savoie with it’s wonderful lakeside setting and charming old town.

Geneva

Visit the United Nations and the Red Cross Museum, observe the Jet d’Eau, the tallest fountain in the world. Visit Cern, the European centre for Nuclear research.

Thonon-Les-Bains

Historic spa town and beach complex with a market on Thursday. Take a boat to the enchanting medieval village of Yvoire.

Labyrinthe Adventure
