Teenage stowaway on French school trip

A visit to the police station is not the usual ending for a school trip to France. Last week a party of school pupils from Illford, Essex shared their coach home from France with a suspected illegal immigrant. The Sudanese teenager was said to have hitched a lift by clinging to the chassis of the coach. Amazingly, he was unharmed but the driver of the coach diverted the tour to the police station where the teenager was arrested by police on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK. Witnesses claim that the school party on board the coach didn't seem to know about the drama that was unfolding under their noses.

At Voyager School Travel we specialise in school trips to France; we can arrange day trips and school tours of Paris, Normandy and the Opal Coast where students can immerse themselves in the French language while finding out about France's rich history and tantalising culture. We also have a great collection of adventure school trips that focus on fun and safety for everyone. Check out our website to find out more about our adventures in Argeles, the Ardeche, the Ardennes and the French Alps! Hopefully there won't be any stowaways on one of our school trips but you'll go away all smiles...
